Learn how to send and receive different types of messages on SleekFlow

There are different types of messages you can send in Sleekflow, in this article we will walk through all the different types of messages you can send.

General message type

Text messages

Text is one of the most commonly sent message types. You can input text through the textbox to send out text messages. 

In channels such as WhatsApp, it also supports style formatting. You can learn more in WhatsApp channel articles.
 

Media files: Images, videos, audios, documents

You can select “Attach files” to select or drag an image, video, audio, or document into the textbox to send the media files.

 

Voice recordings

You can select the “microphone icon” to record and send recordings to the platform. 

Emojis

You can send emojis in SleekFlow by either opening their native emoji keyboard or selecting the emoji icon in the message textbox. 

GIFs

In some channels, you can send GIF messages by either dragging the GIF file onto the message textbox or uploading the GIF by selecting “attach files”. To learn more about the channel limitations, you can check out our help center articles here

Channel-specific messages

WhatsApp-specific messages: templates and interactive messages

For WhatsApp conversations, when you want to start a new conversation with a customer or reply to a conversation after 24 hours of the last reply, you are required to send template messages.

A template message is a message format that you can send repeatedly. Variables, media, and special features such as interactive buttons can be included in the template to communicate with your clients more effectively. Apart from template messages, you can also craft messages with interactive lists and buttons that allow user to indicate preferences in the conversations. These message formats are all supported in SleekFlow.

WhatsApp catalog cart messages

If you have an existing Whatsapp catalog, you can connect it to SleekFlow to receive WhatsApp catalog cart messages with product information. To learn more about WhatsApp Catalog Integration, check out this article.

Stickers

In some channels, you can send sticker messages by either dragging the .WEBP file onto the message textbox or uploading it by selecting “attach files”. To learn more about the channel limitations, you can check out this article.

Custom catalog cart messages

If you want to create, manage, and sell products easily, you can create your own custom stores within SleekFlow with a Stripe payment connection. 
With the store and products created, you can select the products to generate your product message with payment links. After creating a store, go to the message text box, and click on the shopping cart icon. Here you will be able to choose your store, and select the products to send your product messages.

Shopify catalog cart messages

If you want to create, manage, and sell products with ease, with a Stripe payment connection, you can integrate your Shopify stores to SleekFlow. 
You can select the products to generate your product message with payment links. After creating a store, go to the message textbox, and click on the shopping cart icon. Here you will be able to choose your store, and select the products to send your product messages.
