Upload sources to the AI knowledge base

AI Knowledge Base is only available to:

  • Companies that are on a paid plan (i.e. Pro or above)

  • Users on Admin roles

“SleekFlow AI Knowledge Base” allows you to upload materials about your company and its products and services and build an extensive information library where the SleekFlow AI exclusively learns from. In this article, you will learn how to upload and manage knowledge sources in the “AI Knowledge base”.

Upload sources to the Knowledge Base

Follow the steps outlined below to upload your business’ source materials to the AI Knowledge Base:

  1. Navigate to the “SleekFlow AI” section in the left-hand navigation panel,

  2. Make sure you are on the “Library” tab of the “SleekFlow AI” module,

  3. Click on the “Add new source” button at the top right side, above the knowledge base table, and proceed to the relevant source material type in the section below.

Upload PDF sources

AI Knowledge Base currently only supports sources that are in .PDF file format, with more source types planned in the future

You can upload PDF files as source materials to the “AI Knowledge base” by following the steps below:

  1. You can either drag and drop PDF files into the upload area, or click “Upload .PDF file(s)” and choose the PDF files from your system’s file finder.

  1. You should note that there is a per-file maximum size limit of 10MB and a maximum number of pages of 300. You will be able to upload up to 10 files at a time, given that it does not exceed your knowledge base’s overall page limit.

  1. You can click on the “Import” button at the bottom right of the page when you are ready to import your uploaded PDF files.

  1. Once the file is imported, you will be redirected to the knowledge base library page, where you can view the training progress of the uploaded source material under the “Training status” column of the knowledge base table.

Manage your Knowledge Base

Once you have uploaded source materials to your company’s knowledge base library, you will be able to view and manage all of your source materials within the table in the “Library” tab of the AI module. In this section, you will learn how to view and manage the sources in your company’s knowledge base.

View source details

To view details about the source materials that have been uploaded to your company’s knowledge base, follow the steps below:

  1. In the SleekFlow AI Library, click on the name of the source material you would like to see more details on.

  1. The “Source details” modal will be displayed and contains the following information about the source in question:

    1. Training status

    2. Uploader

    3. Number of pages

    4. Upload date

    5. Date and time of last update

    6. File name

  2. You can click on the “Data source name” element to preview the source material

Search for sources in the Knowledge Base

You can search for specific sources by name using the “Search bar” on the top left of the knowledge base source list. Type in the characters in the search bar and press “Enter”, and the relevant results will appear in the list table below.

You can sort the knowledge base source list by selecting from one of the options from the “Sort by” dropdown field. You can select from the following sorting options:

  • Upload date (newest first)

  • Upload date (oldest first)

  • Last updated (newest first)

  • Last updated (oldest first)

  • Total pages (descending)

  • Total pages (ascending)

  • Data source name (A-Z)

You can also filter for specific sources by their “Training status”.

You can click on the “Reset filters” button to reset the source list back to default and clear all applied sorting and filtering options.

Delete srouce from Knowledge Base

You can remove an uploaded source from the knowledge base through one of the methods below.

If you would like to delete only one source, you may follow one of the following ways:

  1. You can also click on the “data source name” of the source you wish to delete and then click on the “Delete” button at the lower right corner of the “Source details” modal

If you would like to delete multiple knowledge sources at the same time, you can click on the check box to the left of the sources that you wish to remove and then click on the “Delete” button in the table’s header

Usage limits

Each company is given an allowance of 1,000 total pages across all uploaded sources in the company’s knowledge base. You can see your company’s remaining page limit available using the “Storage” progress bar at the top left corner of the Library page. We currently do not support increasing this global page limit for knowledge base sources.
