Action nodes perform specific tasks within a flow. They represent the actions your flow will execute when triggered, enabling you to automate responses, update contact information, manage conversations, and integrate with external systems.
For example, when you receive a message from a contact, action nodes allow you to define how you would like to handle it, like sending back a message, assign this conversation to an agent or a team, or pass this conversation to AI to engage with your customers.
In this guide, we'll explore the different action nodes in Flow Builder so you can choose the right ones to meet your business needs. The table below outlines all available action nodes and the task they perform:

Add label | Adds a label to a customer's contact profile |

Change conversation status | Changes the status of a customer's conversation, such as opening or closing it |
Assign to | Assigns the customer's conversation to a specific user or team |
Add collaborator | Adds another user or team member as a collaborator on the customer's conversation |

Send triggered message webhook | Sends a webhook to an external platform with information about the customer's incoming message |

Add action node to flow
- Add an action node to your flow by either:
- Click on The first node in the flow canvas.
- Add a new node to the flow
- In the “Select a node” modal, you can select an action node to configure specific tasks that the system will carry out on enrolled contacts.
Once you have chosen the action of your choice, the action node will be inserted into the flow. You can configure the settings of the action node in its node form that will be displayed on the right-hand side of the screen.
