If you cannot connect your WhatsApp Business app through WhatsApp Coexistence, this guide explains common setup errors and what to do next. It also covers unexpected disconnections and issues that prevent you from reconnecting or removing a channel.
For setup instructions, refer to WhatsApp Coexistence.
Before you start
Before connecting your number, check the following:
-
Update your WhatsApp Business app
- Use the latest version on your primary phone.
-
Check your internet connection
- Make sure your phone and the computer used for setup have a stable internet connection.
-
Confirm your Meta permissions
- Sign in with the Facebook account that has Full control of the Meta Business Portfolio you want to use.
-
Check for an existing provider connection
- If you are switching from another provider, follow the disconnection steps in the WhatsApp Coexistence guide before connecting to SleekFlow.
-
Keep the setup window open
- Complete the steps on both your computer and phone. Do not close the Meta setup window before setup finishes.
Important: Do not delete your WhatsApp Business app account to troubleshoot Coexistence. Disconnecting a business platform is different from deleting your WhatsApp account.
Common connection and reconnection errors
Use the error message shown during setup to find the troubleshooting steps below.
Error or issue |
What it means |
What to do |
“Something went wrong” or “SleekFlow cannot onboard customer at this time” |
Setup could not continue. These messages do not identify a single cause. |
If Meta says your number is not eligible, follow the guidance below. |
Your phone number is not eligible |
Meta may indicate that more activity on the WhatsApp Business app is needed to determine eligibility. A number’s age alone does not confirm eligibility. |
Continue using the app for your normal customer conversations.
If your number already has an established activity history, or this happens when reconnecting a previously connected number, contact SleekFlow Support. Include whether the number was previously connected to SleekFlow or another provider.
Do not delete and re-register your WhatsApp account as a troubleshooting step. |
The QR code does not work |
The app may need updating, or the setup session may have expired. |
|
“Unable to connect” |
The Coexistence connection was not established. This message does not identify the underlying cause. |
If you are switching providers, check whether the previous platform is still connected. Follow the disconnection instructions in the WhatsApp Coexistence guide, then return to SleekFlow and try again.
If no previous connection remains, or the error continues, contact SleekFlow Support. If the dialog shows Get help from a specialist, you can use that option to request assistance. |
Error 2655093: Your account is already shared with a partner |
Your WhatsApp Business Account is already shared with another partner. |
If the error continues after disconnection, contact SleekFlow Support. Include the previous provider’s name and when you disconnected it. |
“(#100) WABA inputted … is already using a payment method” |
A payment method or credit line associated with your WhatsApp Business Account may be preventing setup with SleekFlow. |
If the error continues, or you have not used another provider, contact SleekFlow Support. |
An unresolved billing issue with your previous provider |
Your previous provider has identified an outstanding invoice or billing dispute affecting the number. |
Resolve the billing issue with your previous provider first.
If you still cannot connect afterward, contact SleekFlow Support. Include the setup error and the previous provider’s confirmation that the issue has been resolved. |
“Unable to complete request. Please try again.” |
This error may appear on Assign your contacts before import after reconnecting a number. The connection configuration may need to be checked. |
Contact SleekFlow Support if you cannot continue. Include:
|
“Unable to complete register. Please try again.” or error 133010 |
Registration may not have completed even if the channel briefly appeared connected. The channel may change to disconnected, or test messages may fail with 133010 — Phone number not registered. |
Contact SleekFlow Support with the registration error and the channel status shown in SleekFlow.
Avoid repeatedly disconnecting and reconnecting while the registration state is being investigated. |
Rate limits or too many registration attempts, including error 133016 |
Repeated setup attempts can result in a temporary registration or deregistration limit. |
If no retry time is shown, or the error continues after the stated waiting period, contact SleekFlow Support. |
If your account was disconnected from SleekFlow
The WhatsApp Business app may display “Your account was disconnected from SleekFlow.”
Open the app on your primary phone at least once every 14 days. Opening it weekly can help you avoid missing this requirement.
If your account is disconnected:
- Open the WhatsApp Business app and check your phone’s internet connection.
- Check the channel status in SleekFlow.
- Follow the Coexistence setup instructions to reconnect.
If the app reports a disconnection but SleekFlow still shows the channel as connected, contact SleekFlow Support before starting repeated reconnection attempts.
If disconnections continue despite regular app use, include the times of the incidents when contacting support.
Note: Missing or delayed messages do not always mean the channel has disconnected. Keep your phone connected to the internet and avoid restricting the WhatsApp Business app’s background activity.
If you cannot remove or reconnect a Coexistence channel
Disconnect the business platform from the WhatsApp Business app:
- Open the WhatsApp Business app on your primary phone.
- Go to Settings → Account → Business Platform, or Connected platform, depending on your app version.
- Select the connected platform.
- Review the information shown, then follow the prompts to disconnect.
Disconnecting stops message sharing with the platform. Your chats remain available in the WhatsApp Business app.
If the app confirms disconnection but the channel remains connected in SleekFlow:
- Refresh SleekFlow and check the channel status again.
- If the status has not changed, or Remove is unavailable, contact SleekFlow Support.
- Include screenshots of the status shown in both SleekFlow and the WhatsApp Business app.
FAQs
Q: Do I need to delete my WhatsApp Business app account before connecting?
No. WhatsApp Coexistence lets you keep using the WhatsApp Business app with the same number.
If you are switching from another provider, you may need to disconnect that provider’s business platform connection. This is different from deleting your WhatsApp account.
Q: My number has been active for a long time. Why does Meta say it is not eligible?
An established activity history does not guarantee that Meta will accept the number during signup or reconnection.
Contact SleekFlow Support with the complete eligibility message. Include whether the number was previously connected through Coexistence and whether the error started after a disconnection.
Q: Meta shows that setup is complete. Why is my channel not connected in SleekFlow?
Completing the Meta setup steps does not always mean registration and the connection to SleekFlow have finished successfully.
Check whether SleekFlow displays an error. If the channel does not appear or remains disconnected, contact SleekFlow Support with screenshots of the status shown in Meta and SleekFlow.
Q: I can receive messages but cannot send them after reconnecting. What should I do?
Check the error shown on the failed message.
If the issue started after reconnecting under a different WhatsApp Business Account, tell SleekFlow Support so the team can check the connection configuration.
For other sending errors, refer to Troubleshooting your WhatsApp Business API channels.
Q: Should I keep retrying when setup fails?
Follow the steps for the specific error before trying again.
If Meta displays a rate limit or registration-attempt limit, stop retrying and follow the waiting period shown. Repeated attempts do not resolve an account restriction, an existing provider association, or an incomplete registration.
