Managing contacts efficiently is crucial for users who rely on SleekFlow for seamless communication. With the new feature, users can now easily bulk create contacts directly in the SleekFlow mobile app. This feature streamlines the process by allowing multiple contacts to be imported from your device at once, eliminating the need for manual entry, improving both convenience and productivity.
Import contacts from device’s phone book
You can follow the steps below to import contacts from your phone book
- Navigate to the “Contacts” module in the SleekFlow mobile app
- Tap the floating + button at the bottom.
- Choose “Add contact from device” to start importing contacts from your phone book.
Grant contact access
To import contacts, SleekFlow needs access to your phone’s contact list. Please grant this permission to continue.
Check contact limit
When importing contacts from your phone book, SleekFlow will check if your account's contact limit is not exceeded, which is determined by your subscription plan and any contact add-ons.
- If your available limit exceeds the total number of existing contacts, you can continue with the import process. For example, if your plan allows 500 contacts and you’ve purchased an add-on for 100 more, your total limit is 600. If you currently have 550 contacts and try to import 30, the system will let you proceed since 550 + 30 (580) is below the limit of 600.
- If you reach your contact limit (e.g., you have 599 contacts and try to import 2 more contacts, exceeding the 600 limit), only the first contact will be imported.
- Admin users can manage the contact limit by adjusting or removing contacts.
- Non-admin users should contact your workplace admin to resolve issues regarding contact limit.
Select contacts to import
After the system confirms access and checks your contact limit, you will be taken to the “Select contacts” page.
- You can select the specific contacts you want to import from your phone book.
- Use the search bar to find contacts by name, email, or phone number.
Review contact details
Once you've selected contacts, the system will take you to the “Review Contacts” page if any of your selected contacts have:
- Multiple phone numbers
- Multiple email addresses
- Missing or invalid phone numbers (e.g., without a country code)
Here, you can manually adjust these details before proceeding.
- Select phone number or email address: Since SleekFlow only supports one phone number and one email address per contact, you will need to choose the most relevant or preferred option when multiple entries are available.
- Manual edit for contact details: If a contact has invalid phone numbers, you can manually correct these details.
- Auto apply country code: If some contacts are missing a country code, you can automatically apply a country code to all contacts or only to those without a code.
Save contacts
You can save your contacts by adding them to a specific contact list, making it easier to manage and organize them.
After selecting how to save the contacts, click “Next”. A success banner will confirm that your contacts have been imported into SleekFlow.
