The User comments during a live stream trigger starts a flow when someone comments on an active Facebook or Instagram Live from the selected page or account. This can be used to engage viewers in real time, such as sending follow-up messages, sharing product details, collecting leads, or adding interested viewers to a list for future retargeting.

  1. Click on the User comments during a live stream trigger node to open its node form, which will appear on the right side of the screen.

  1. The node form contains the following fields for you to set up the trigger:
  • Setup tab
    • Page: Select the connected Facebook Page or Instagram account you want to monitor. The dropdown includes all connected Facebook Pages and Instagram Professional accounts from your connected channels.
    • Comment: Select which live stream comments should trigger the flow.
      • All comments: The workflow will trigger whenever someone comments on any active Live from the selected page or account.
      • Comments with specific keywords: The workflow will trigger only when the comment includes the keywords you define.

If you select “Comments with specific keywords”, you’ll need to set up the keyword operator rules:

  • Contains: The workflow will trigger when the comment contains at least one of the keywords entered.
  • Exactly match: The workflow will trigger only when the comment contains all keywords entered.

Tip: Use Any comment when you want to engage all live stream viewers automatically. Use Comments with specific keywords when the Live includes a specific call to action, such as asking viewers to comment “price,” “demo,” or “interested” to receive more information.

  • Filter tab
    • Enrollment conditions: When toggled on, you can set specific conditions at the “Filter” tab that the customer must meet in order to be enrolled into the flow. For example:
      • You could trigger only if the contact is in a specific listl using the “List” variable and “Contains any of” operator.

Once a live stream ends, the automation will stop working for that specific live stream. It will continue to work for any other active live streams from the selected Facebook Page or Instagram account, as long as the trigger conditions are met. Messages won’t be sent for comments made after a live stream has ended.
