Configure "Reply to live stream comments" flow template

Automatically reply to live stream comments and follow up with customers in direct messages

This flow template helps you engage with customers in real time by sending a public reply to their live stream comment, then following up with a direct message. It is useful for handling product inquiries, collecting customer interest, or guiding viewers to the next step during a live event.

When to use this template

Use this template when you want to:

  • Respond to live stream comments more efficiently
  • Follow up with viewers who show interest during a live event
  • Send product details, pricing, booking links, or next steps through direct message
  • Continue the conversation privately after a public comment
  • Manage high-volume live stream engagement without replying manually to every comment

 

Example use case

Your business is hosting a live stream to promote a new product. During the live stream, a customer comments “Interested” or asks about the product.

With this template, SleekFlow can automatically:

  1. Detect the customer’s live stream comment
  2. Send a public reply, such as “Thanks for your interest! Please check your direct message.”
  3. Send a direct message with product details, pricing, or the next step

This helps your team acknowledge the customer publicly while continuing the conversation privately in SleekFlow.

 

Set up “Reply to live stream comments” template

  1. Within Advanced Flow Builder, click “Create new flow”.
  2. In the flow template step, select “Reply to live stream comments” under the relevant template category.

In the flow canvas, the system will automatically generate a basic flow that includes:

  • User comments during a live stream trigger node
  • Reply comment action node 
  • Send message action node

These nodes work together as a simple sequence:

Customer comments during a live stream → SleekFlow sends a public reply → Customer receives a direct message

Node What it does What it is included
User comments during a live stream Starts the flow when someone comments during a live stream This defines the customer action that should trigger the automation
Reply post comment Sends a public reply to the customer’s live stream comment This acknowledges the customer publicly and lets them know a follow-up message is coming
Reply post comment via direct message Sends a direct message to the customer This allows your team to continue the conversation privately with more details or next steps

 

 

Set up the “User comments during a live stream” trigger

  1. Click on the “User comments during a live stream: trigger node to open its node form, which will appear on the right side of the screen.

  1. The node form contains the following fields for you to set up the trigger:
  • Setup tab
    • Page: Select the connected Facebook Page or Instagram account you want to monitor. The dropdown includes all connected Facebook Pages and Instagram Professional accounts from your connected channels.
    • Comment: Select which live stream comments should trigger the flow.
      • All comments: The workflow will trigger whenever someone comments on any active Live from the selected page or account.
      • Comments with specific keywords: The workflow will trigger only when the comment includes the keywords you define.



 

  • Filter tab
    • Enrollment conditions: When toggled on, you can set specific conditions at the “Filter tab” that that customer must meet in order to be enrolled into the flow. 

 

Configure "Reply post comment" action node

Use this node to configure the message that customers will receive after replying to your Instagram story.

  1. Click on the “Reply post comment” action node to open up its node form, which will appear on the right side of the screen

 

  1. The node form contains the following fields for you to configure your action:
    • Comment: Configure the content of your reply (For example: Check your DM)
    • Like Facebook comment: Toggle this on to automatically like the original comment when the reply is sent. Please note this feature is only applicable to Facebook.

 

Configure “Reply post comment via direct message” action node

  1. Click on the “Reply post comment via direct message” action node to open its node form, which will appear on the right side of the screen

 

  1. The node form contains the following fields for you to configure your action:
  • Reply type: Select the type of message you want to send via direct message.
    • Message: Enter your message in the text field. You can personalize the message using variables
    • Media:  Upload or drag-and-drop the media file you want to send. 
  • Like Facebook comment: Toggle this on to automatically like the original comment when the reply is sent.

 

3. Click “Publish” to activate the flow.

Once published, customers who comment on selected posts or reels can automatically receive a public reply and a direct message. This helps your team manage campaign engagement more efficiently while continuing the conversation privately in SleekFlow.
