Before configuring custom object trigger nodes, you will need to have at least one custom object created in your company. You can refer to this Help Center article to learn more about custom objects.

Custom object record created

The “Custom object record created” trigger activates whenever a new record is created for a selected custom object, such as an order or booking. This trigger is ideal for automating actions when new records are added, like sending out confirmation messages to users.

For example, you can use this trigger to automatically send a confirmation message to a customer when a new booking is made. This ensures that customers promptly receive important information related to their transactions.

Set up the "Custom object record created" trigger node form by following the steps below:

  1. Click on the node to open up its form, which will appear on the right side of the screen

  1. The node form contains the following fields for you to set up the trigger:

  • Filter tab
    • Enrollment conditions: When toggled on, you can set specific conditions at the “Filter” tab that the customer must meet in order to be enrolled into the flow. For example:
      • Subscription type is “Premium” — only newly created subscription records with this type will be enrolled into the flow.

Custom object record updated

The “Custom object record update” trigger activates whenever there is a change in a record of a selected custom object, such as a booking or order. This trigger is useful for automatically responding to updates in your records, like notifying customers about changes in order status.

For example, you can use this trigger to automatically send a notification to customers when their order status changes to “Shipped.” This allows you to keep customers informed in real-time without manual intervention.
