The SleekFlow AI Knowledge Base stores business information that your AI agents can reference during conversations. You can add files, website content, and custom answers, then choose which sources each agent can use.

This helps your agents answer questions using information specific to your business, such as product details, policies, and FAQs.

When should you use Knowledge Base?

Use Knowledge Base to provide the information your team would normally look up when helping a customer.

Use case

Example

Customer support

Add your return policy so the agent can explain eligibility, deadlines, and exceptions.

Product inquiries

Add a product catalog so the agent can answer questions about features and specifications.

Service inquiries

Add service descriptions so the agent can explain what a consultation includes and how to prepare.

Start with accurate, approved information that covers the questions you expect your agent to handle.

How do the workspace Library and agent Knowledge Base work together?

Your workspace Library keeps sources in one shared place. Each agent’s Knowledge Base contains the sources assigned to that agent.

This lets you share information across agents while choosing what each agent should use. You do not need to upload a separate copy for every agent.

For example:

  • Your sales and support agents can both use the same store information.
  • Your sales agent can also use product buying guides.
  • Your support agent can also use troubleshooting guides.

You can add a source to the Library and assign it later. A source added while configuring an agent is added to the Library and assigned to that agent automatically.

For assignment instructions, see Assign sources to an AI agent.

What information can you add?

A Knowledge source is a file, website source, or custom answer you add to Knowledge Base. You can combine these source types to cover your agent’s needs.

Source type

Use it for

Files

Information stored in documents, spreadsheets, and other supported files.

Indexed web pages

Content imported from selected website pages.

Live web search

Website information retrieved during conversations.

Custom answers

Approved answers to common questions and their variations.

For files and indexed web pages, SleekFlow also creates generated knowledge articles. These organize source information into focused sections the agent can reference. You can review them in the agent’s Article wiki.

For supported formats, limits, and instructions, see Add data sources.

How is Knowledge different from agent instructions?

Knowledge gives the agent business information. Instructions guide how it behaves and what steps it follows.

For example, when setting up a return support agent:

  • Knowledge provides the return policy.
  • Rules tell the agent to explain the policy clearly and avoid guessing missing details.
  • Procedures guide the return request workflow, such as asking for an order number.

Use Knowledge and instructions together, then test realistic customer questions to check the agent’s responses.

For help configuring instructions, see Set up your AI agent’s behavior and knowledge.
