By connecting Instagram to SleekFlow, you can view and reply to Instagram messages directly from your SleekFlow Inbox. This helps your team manage Instagram conversations in the same place as your other messaging channels.

Before you connect to Instagram, make sure your Instagram Business account is properly linked to your Facebook assets. Instagram Business accounts are managed through Meta, so you need the correct Facebook Page and Business Manager access before you can authorize the connection in SleekFlow.

Before you start

Before connecting Instagram to SleekFlow, make sure you have completed the following:

• You have an Instagram Business account
• Your Instagram Business account is linked to a Facebook Page
• Your Instagram Business account is added to Facebook Business Manager
• You have full admin access to the relevant Facebook Page and Business Manager account

Add your Instagram account to Facebook Business Manager

If your Instagram Business account has not been added to Facebook Business Manager yet, complete the steps below first. This lets Meta recognize your Instagram account as part of your business portfolio before you connect it to SleekFlow.  

1. Log in to your Meta Business Portfolio 
2. Go to Instagram accounts.
   1. You can also access the page directly from: https://business.facebook.com/latest/settings/instagram_account
3. Once you have logged in, click on the “+ Add” button on the top right corner and click “Add Instagram Account”
   
   
4. Sign in to your Instagram Business account, and click “Done” to add your Instagram Business account to your Meta Business Portfolio
   

Link your Instagram account to a Facebook Page

Your Instagram Business account must also be linked to a Facebook Page. If it is not linked yet, you can connect it from the Instagram mobile app.

1. Open the Instagram mobile app.
2. Go to your Profile.
3. Tap “Edit Profile”.
4. Under Public business information, tap “Page”.
   
5. On the “Connect to Facebook” screen, tap “Login to Facebook”.
   
6. Review the Facebook account that will be used to connect the Page.
   
   1. Tap Continue to use the current Facebook account.
   2. Tap Switch Facebook account if you need to use another Facebook account.
7. On the Connect your Facebook Page screen, select the Facebook Page you want to connect.
   1. If you do not see your Page, make sure you are an admin of the Page.
8. Tap “Connect”.

If you do not have a Facebook Page yet, tap “Create a new Facebook Page” and follow Meta’s setup steps to create one before continuing.

Connecting Instagram to SleekFlow

To connect your Instagram account, you can follow the steps below:

1. Go to the "Channels” page by clicking on the  icon in the left navigation bar
2. Go to the Instagram channel settings page, then click “Connect” in the top-right corner of the screen.
3. Set up the connection by confirming the following items and checking these boxes:

4. Once you have checked both boxes in Step 3, Click “Next” to continue
5. You will need to allow access to messages in your Instagram app. You can follow the steps below to enable this access:
   1. Open your Instagram mobile app
   2. Switch on the toggle “Allow access to messages” by following the steps:
      1. Log in to your Instagram Business account
      2. Go to Settings and activity by click on the  icon
      3. Locate the “How others can interact with you” section and tab “Messages and story replies”
         
      4. Select “Message request”
         
      5. Toggle on “Allow access to message”
         
         
          
6. Once done, check the box for “I have enabled ‘Allow access to messages’” and click “Next” to continue.
   

6. Once you have finished the items listed in Step 3-5, you will be redirected to this page:
   
   Click “Connect” to continue. You will then be redirected to Meta Business Portfolio to continue the connection steps. You can complete the following steps to finish connecting Instagram Business with SleekFlow:
   1. Sign in to your Facebook account connected with your Instagram account.
   2. Select the Instagram Business account associated with your Facebook Page and click “Continue”.
   3. Select the Facebook Page that is linked to your Instagram Business account.
   4. You will then see the list of Instagram accounts associated with the selected Facebook page. After selecting the account, click “Continue.”
   5. Grant all required permissions to SleekFlow to allow full functionality. Click “Save” to complete the connection.
7. That’s it! Now, you can add and manage multiple Instagram accounts in SleekFlow by repeating the same process.
