Each workspace is a separate SleekFlow environment with its own contacts, conversations, channels, automations, analytics, users, permissions, and billing. You can switch between workspaces without logging out.
Note: These features and configurations are available only to users with the appropriate permissions. For further details, refer to our Help Center article on Roles and permissions
Benefits and use cases
Pain points solved:
- Mixed customer data: Keep contacts, conversations, and reports separate across different brands, branches, or business units.
- Unclear team ownership: Give each team its own workspace with dedicated channels, users, roles, and permissions.
- Manual account switching: Let teammates access multiple workspaces from one SleekFlow login without signing in and out.
Common use cases:
- Multiple brands: Manage each brand in its own workspace with separate contacts, channels, automations, and analytics.
- Regional teams or branches: Separate operations by market, store, franchise location, or local team.
- Different billing needs: Manage subscription plans, invoices, wallet balance, and seat limits separately for each workspace.
What is a workspace?
A workspace is a complete SleekFlow environment for one business, brand, branch, or team.
Each workspace stores and manages its own:
- Contacts and contact lists
- Conversations and message history
- Connected channels, such as WhatsApp and Instagram
- Automations and Flow Builder flows
- Analytics and reports
- Users, roles, and permissions
- Subscription, billing, and wallet balance
Workspaces are fully separated. Data from one workspace is not visible or shared with another workspace.
For example, if the same customer messages two of your brands in two different workspaces, they will appear as a separate contact in each workspace, with separate conversations and message history.
Creating a new workspace
Admins can create a new workspace from the workspace switcher.
To create a workspace:
- Click the workspace icon at the top-left corner
- Click “Create a workspace”
- Enter a workspace name
- Invite teammates by email, or generate a shareable invite link. At this stage, you can invite up to 2 teammates.
- Click “Create workspace”.
Switching between workspaces
If you have access to more than one workspace, you can switch between them at any time without logging out.
- Click the workspace icon in the top-left corner of the sidebar
- In the dropdown, review the list of workspaces you can access
- The workspace you are currently using is marked with a checkmark
- Click another workspace to switch
What stays separate in each workspace
Each workspace operates independently. This helps you keep customer data, conversations, channels, and business operations separate across different brands, teams, or business units.
The following items are separate in each workspace:
- Contacts and contact lists
- Conversations and messaging history
- Connected channels
- Automations and flows
- Analytics and reports
- User roles and permissions
- Subscription, billing, and wallet balance
What is shared across workspaces
Only a few account-level details are shared across the workspaces you can access:
- Your login email and password
- Your last-used workspace preference
This means actions taken in one workspace will not affect the data, settings, or billing of another workspace.
Roles and permissions across workspaces
Your role is managed separately in each workspace. This means your access can be different depending on the workspace you are using.
For example, you may be an Admin in one workspace and a Staff member in another. When you switch workspaces, the features, settings, and actions available to you will update based on your role in that workspace.
ℹ️ There is no global admin role across all workspaces. To manage multiple workspaces as an admin, you must be assigned the Admin role in each workspace separately.
Billing and subscriptions
Each workspace has its own subscription plan, billing cycle, and wallet balance.
This means:
- Invoices are generated per workspace.
- Messaging wallet balance is managed separately in each workspace.
- Seat limits apply per workspace.
- Changing the plan in one workspace does not affect other workspaces.
